Ani DiFranco stopped at the Park Theatre in Cranston R.I. on November 7, 2013 as part of her 2013 Fall Northeast tour. DiFranco was joined onstage by Todd Sickafoose on bass and Terence Higgins on drums. Together, the trio performed songs from throughout DiFranco’s catalog which spans more than 20 years, including songs from her most recent release “¿Which Side Are You On?”.
DiFranco’s devoted fans in the crowd were completely captivated by the music. Everyone was very receptive to the performance and were listening intently. The energy in the theater was overwhelmingly positive.
The recently renovated Park Theatre, also known as The Rhode Island Center for Performing Arts, is a fantastic venue to see a show. There’s not a bad seat in the house and the sound quality in the theatre is superb.
The shows openers included two solo acts; slam poet Buddy Wakefield and singer-songwriter Melissa Ferrick. Both put on stellar performances and were well received by the audience.
